Water Camel Instructions

1. Divide your pot into thirds and pull your wick through the bottom of the pot and fill the bottom third or inch of the pot with potting soil around the wick. (This will create a continuous moisture zone once the plant is watered and the wick is placed in the reservoir.) Press the soil firm around the wick and leave 1/2" to 1" inch (1.27 cm -2.54) or more of wick to lay over the top of the soil. Do not allow the wick to touch the sides of the pot. Leave several inches (centimeters) of wick hanging out of the bottom of the pot so that it will still touch the bottom once placed on the top of the container (Water Camel)

1. Divida so caceta en tres partes. Jale la cuerda a traves del fondo de la maceta. Llene el tercio del fondo de la maceta con tierra para su planta alrededor de la cuerda. (Esto creara una constante zona Humeda, y una vez que la planta sea regada y la cuerda sea puesto en el tanque.) 2. Cover the wick with approximately 1/2 -1 inch (1.27-2.54) of potting soil and press the soil firm. This will create a growth zone for the plant's roots to grow into.

3. Remove soil from the bottom of the plant roots if necessary, until the plant fits in the pot about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (1.27 cm.) below the edge of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and finish filling with potting soil. Gently firm the soil around the plant.

3. Quite la tiera del fondo de las raices de la planta en caso de necesidad para que la planta se ajuste en la maceta entre 1/4 a 1/2 pulgada (1.27 cm.). Coloque la planta adentro de la maceta y termine con llenar la planta con tierra. Suavemente presione la tierra alrededor de su planta.

4. Water the plant thoroughly from the top of the pot allowing the water to run out the bottom of the pot and lightly press the soil firm removing air spaces. Allow any excess water to drain off. Place the pot on the top of the container and drop the wick through one of the holes in the lid. The reservoir holds one cup (250 ml) of water. Try not to squeeze the wick between the pot and the container as this may impede the wick's ability to draw water up into the moisture zone. When the water level drops add more water to the container or water from above.

4. Rigue la planta completamente desde lo alto de la planta, y asi dejara que caiga hasta el fondo de la maceta. Suavemente presione la tierra para no dejar espacios de aire.  Permita que el exceso de agua se precipite. Ponga la maceta sobre el recipiente. Deje que la cuerda caiga a traves de uno de los ojos en la tapa. El tanque sostiene una taza de agua (250ml). No exprima la cuerda en medio de la maceta y el recipiente, por que esto podria impedir la habilidad de la cuerda de distribuir agua hasta la zona himeda. Cuando el nivel de agua sea bajo; rellene el recipiente o la maceta con agua.
5. For Hanging Baskets: Use the enclosed wire ties to attach the container to the bottom of the hanging basket after steps #1-#4 habe been followed. Note: it is easier to fill the container with water after securing it to the bottom of the hanging basket.

5. Para plantas colgantes: Use los lazos incluidos de alambre para unir el recipiente al fondo de la planta colgante despues de seguir con los pasos del 1 al 4. Nota: Es mas facil rellenar el recipiente de agua despues de aseguarla al fondo de la planta congante.
